The weather on last day of 2009 was during the afternoon much better then the days before. Sometimes sunshine with some clouds. Due to this weather is was very crowed. The temperature was around freezing point. The lower pistes with ice are less attractive, but the higher pistes are good.

Again exceptional high temperatures for December. During the morning sometimes rainfall up to 2200 meters. Later on the LNP went down to 1800 meter.  During the afternoon moderate snowfall until 16.00. Lovely fresh snow above 2500 meter. Some lift were closed during the afternoon because of sudden high winds at the tops.

Tuesday, December 29th began as a cloudy day with a few minor spells. Around 11 o’clock people could enjoy the newly fallen snow and pleasant sunshine. It was snowing nearly the whole day. The snowlayer increased by 10 cm. Only on the tops there was a moderate wind. The temperature with a little higher but it was still freezing.
The new TSD Sunny Express with officially inaugurated together with the redevelopement of Les Bruyères area.The day ended with fireworks.

The first part of this Sunday was indeed sunny with a complete blue sky. During the afternoon more and more clouds appeared. At 14.30 the clouds came down and it started snowing. Yesterday afternoon and evening it was raining at +6 degrees. This is an abnormal weather situation. It seldom rains here at 2000 m in December. Disappointing weather today. The 3-vallées connections were closed, except St Martin/Méribel/Mottaret. Temperature a few degrees above zero, lot of wind, sometimes light rain. The snowconditions are like as during springtime. Most of the main lifts were closed after 14.00.

By surprise there was this morning a fresh layer of snow. At the top 25 cm and at 2000 meter 15 cm. The loud explosions were the indications of the safety measurements taken the men of Setam and Sevabel. Hardly no lifts were open at 09.00 and it lasted more then 3 hours to secure […]

Dry, grey and windy day. At the end of the day nearly all lifts stopped or where going very slowly. A warm strong wind (fohn) from the south brought the temperature well above freezing point. There is a lot of ice on the pistes because most of the snow ihas been blown away.
